When choosing where to stay in Cusco before Machu Picchu, the Inca Trail or a Salkantay trek, start with your actual itinerary. Confirm the departure or pickup point, the time you need to be there, your arrival arrangements and what happens to your luggage.
Use the departure on your ticket
“Near the train” is not enough information to plan a journey. PeruRail's current schedules distinguish stations and service types. Read your own booking and confirm the reporting point with the transport provider before choosing a stay around it.
For an Inca Trail or Salkantay departure, ask your trek operator whether pickup is from your property, a central meeting point or another location. Confirm the address and reporting time directly; this guide does not set a universal pickup time or route.
Give the arrival a workable plan
Choose check-in and check-out dates around your confirmed itinerary. Ask the accommodation host how a late arrival works and where a taxi can stop. Leave room in your plans for the operator's briefing and equipment checks instead of assuming that a flight arrival and a trek departure fit back to back.
The question is practical: do your transport, host and operator agree on the times? A nearby property does not remove the need to confirm those arrangements.
Ask about luggage separately
If you plan to leave luggage during a trek, ask the host whether storage is available for your exact dates, how it is secured, whether there is a charge and when you can collect it. A luggage-storage amenity on a listing does not settle all of those details.
Consider booking the same property before and after your journey if that suits your dates. Check both periods for availability and agree the intervening luggage arrangements directly with the host.
Match the stay to the group
For four guests who value two bathrooms, compare Ninnab with Ninnac. For five, Ninnaf lists two bathrooms and a fifth sleeping place on a floor mattress. Paccaz is a five-guest duplex alternative with one bathroom. Use the bed-layout guide to decide what works.
Keep the booking pieces separate
Accommodation, transport, a trek and a Machu Picchu entrance are different bookings. Check what your provider includes. The Ministry of Culture's official entrance-ticket page directs visitors to its online ticket platform. Follow the official page for the current purchase route rather than relying on an accommodation description.
These Moorada stays are accommodation options. This website does not sell train tickets, trek permits, tours or Machu Picchu entry.
